You would use chromatography, the different colours have different affinities depending on the solvent you use. So different colours will travel longer than other on your chromatogram (support).2) You would use fractional distillation (can draw a diagram if it is not understood). water and ethanol have different boiling points, if you heat the mixture up to under 100 °C the ethanol will evaporate out and not the water. 3) Crystallisation can be used where the water is heated to above 100°C and evaporated out leaving salt which has a higher boiling point.
